At first, I struggled as a writer, and learned the hard way how to organize my thoughts and get them on the page. Now I have strong writing skills and can help you or your child development their own writing ability. I have tutored Dartmouth students on clarifying their writing and enhancing their communication skills. After writing my own successful application to Dartmouth, and studying there for 4 years, I know what Ivy League admissions snobs are looking for in your personal statement. I also know the way they expect you to write once you're attending a high level university. The other thing I learned the hard way was "study skills." In high school, nobody teaches you how to prioritize your time, engage with the material in ways that interest you, and maximize your studying. But those skills become more vital as the years go on. While I'd love to help you write for school, I am also a creative writer. I have trained at UCLA, and with some of the top writing gurus in Los Angeles. So if you need help on a screenplay or creative piece, I'm here to help! Currently, I teach writing in Juvenile Hall, which is a position requiring significant training and safety/background checks. I'm excited to get to work strengthening your writing. It hasn't been just about writing... As a one-man production team, I traveled through Nepal and Nicaragua, directing a documentary about healthcare and education in the developing world.
