Experience
I graduated from Harvard College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. I have had extensive tutoring, teaching, and college admissions counseling experience. I taught Harvard college undergraduates in Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, and History as a peer tutor at the Harvard Bureau of Study Counsel. In addition, as a counselor at the Quest Scholars Program at Stanford University, I had the opportunity to take part in tutoring and mentoring 21 academically gifted high school students in the nation in environmental science, SAT Math and Verbal, and editing college admissions essays. After my graduation, I have worked for many private learning and educational centers in helping middle, high school, and college students one-on-one in their private homes and in the classroom in SAT Critical Reading, Math, and Writing, Editing College Essays, SAT II Chemistry, Biology, and Physics, AP Calculus, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics, AP Statistics, ACT, to name a few. In particular, I have helped numerous students substantially increase their SAT scores in Critical Reading (which is the most difficult), Math, and Writing. I specialize in SAT II Biology, Chemistry, Physics (most students achieve 780-800 with my help) as well as all the AP sciences and math. In addition, I help many students with intensive college essay editing (which is the most crucial and second part of the college admissions game) and admissions guidance. For my efforts, most of my students have gained acceptance to Ivy League Schools (including Harvard, Stanford, etc.) and other top colleges of their choice. I also help college students with Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics as well as college essay help.

I genuinely believe that one of the main secrets to students doing well on standardized tests is establishing a positive mindset and confident attitude, which can be developed through rigorous and methodical practice of problems and test-taking skills. I am most passionate about being an academic mentor and psychological coach, instilling in my students a positive sense of confidence and determination to do well on standardized exams and succeed in their classes. I know that with much hard work and diligence, I can bring the out the best in each student that I help.
